Recap: Montgomery Central Indians vs. Jo Byrns Red Devils
The Montgomery Central Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jo Byrns. Montgomery Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jo Byrns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2015.
Montgomery Central's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Christian Fox, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Yarbrough, who scored 13 points.
Montgomery Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Jo Byrns, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montgomery Central will face off against LEAD Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jo Byrns, they will head out on the road to face off against Merrol Hyde Magnet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Merrol Hyde Magnet is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
