Volleyball Game Preview: Santa Monica Vikings vs. Warren Bears

Santa Monica has won seven straight games at home, while Warren has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Vikings will welcome the Bears at 6:00 p.m.

Santa Monica is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against University as they made off with a 3-0 win.

While Santa Monica won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 25-21.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Warren sidestepped Mark Keppel for a 3-2 victory.

Warren is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. As for Santa Monica, their win bumped their record up to 22-8.

Santa Monica beat Warren 2-0 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
