Johnson waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Burbank Titans a 19-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-0 back in March.
Angelene Gonzales and Anissa Zavala were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Gonzales struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Zavala tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
