Basketball Recap: Silver Lake Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Casey Conway and Lane Conway

Silver Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Milford Eagles on the road by a 63-44 margin.

Lane Conway and Casey Conway certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Lane went 6 for 10 on his way to 18 points, while Casey posted ten points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Casey a new career-high in steals.

Even though they lost, Silver Lake was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Landon Roth had an outrageously good game for Milford as he put up 15 points in addition to six boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Stutzman, who had ten points.

Silver Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Milford, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Silver Lake will face off against Pleasanton at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. Pleasanton will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Silver Lake surely won't give up without a fight. As for Milford, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-56 loss against Lincoln Christian on the 31st.
