Basketball Recap: Rensselaer Takes a Loss

Rensselaer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. 2025 welcomed they with a 71-46 loss courtesy of the Watervliet Cannoneers. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.

Rensselaer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Watervliet, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Rensselaer won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hudson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hudson will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Rensselaer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Watervliet, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Germantown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
