Basketball Game Preview: Stanwood Spartans vs. Lynnwood Royals

Stanwood is on a four-game streak of home losses, Lynnwood a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Stanwood Spartans will host the Lynnwood Royals at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Stanwood lost 71-51 to Everett on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Lynnwood came up short against Shorewood on Friday, falling 66-42. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Stormrays are ranked 62nd).

Lynnwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Stanwood, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Stanwood strolled past Lynnwood in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 60-44. Will Stanwood repeat their success, or does Lynnwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
