Basketball Recap: Pelican Rapids Takes a Loss

Pelican Rapids lost against Barnesville back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pelican Rapids Vikings fell to the Barnesville Trojans 78-72.

Pelican Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Barnesville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Pelican Rapids and Barnesville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Pelican Rapids will take on Staples-Motley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 147 places (42 vs. 189). Similarly, Barnesville (ranked 123rd) will meet Hawley (ranked 279th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
