Volleyball Game Preview: Prospect Knights vs. Conant Cougars

The Prospect Knights will face off against the Conant Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prospect will be strutting in after a victory while Conant will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, it was close, but Prospect sidestepped Deerfield for a 2-1 win.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Prospect got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 15-25, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Conant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Lake Park. Cougars fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Lancers since Wednesday.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15.

Prospect now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Conant, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.

Prospect came out on top in a nail-biter against Conant in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
