Baseball Recap: Humboldt Comes Up Short

Humboldt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-3 to the Sheffield Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly nine runs.

Humboldt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Sheffield, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Humboldt will challenge Lake County at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Sheffield, they will venture away from home to square off against Phil Campbell at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
