Basketball Recap: Tay Hugley Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kennedy, DMLK was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They managed a 31-25 win over the DSST: Conservatory Green Hornets. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

DMLK's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tay Hugley led the charge by putting up 13 points. Another player making a difference was Dez DIAZ, who posted eight points.

DMLK's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for DSST: Conservatory Green, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

DMLK will host DSST: Green Valley Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. DMLK is facing DSST: Green Valley Ranch at the right time seeing as DSST: Green Valley Ranch is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for DSST: Conservatory Green, they will head out to challenge DSST: College View at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
