Baseball Recap: Sharon Comes Up Short

If Sharon was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Archbishop Williams on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Attleboro Bombardiers on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Bombardiers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Sharon now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Attleboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sharon will venture away from home to challenge Foxborough at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Warriors have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Attleboro, they will square off against North Attleborough at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
