Baseball Game Preview: Benton Bobcats vs. Solon Spartans

Benton has won six straight games at home, while Solon has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Bobcats will welcome the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Benton made easy work of West Branch and carried off an 11-1 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Solon earned an 11-7 win over Grinnell on Thursday.

Benton has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Solon, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
