Volleyball Recap: East Newton Find Success

After losing to Clever the last time they met, East Newton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Patriots walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Kolby Rinehart paced East Newton's offense, picking up eight kills. Rinehart also shared the team's lead in assists with Camryn Cornett: they picked up 12 each. Kadie Sesay controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

East Newton's win bumped their record up to 12-14-1. As for Clever, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11-3.

East Newton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Neosho on the 6th. As for Clever, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Buffalo on the 7th.
