Softball Game Preview: Cox Mill Chargers vs. West Cabarrus Wolverines

Cox Mill is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and West Cabarrus a 12-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Cox Mill Chargers will be playing at home against the West Cabarrus Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cox Mill is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 26-10 to Greater Cabarrus S on Thursday.

Sienna Papineau was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Myla Koonce was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for West Cabarrus' offense. They came up short against South Iredell on Tuesday, falling 20-0.

Cox Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for West Cabarrus, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
