Basketball Game Preview: Lightridge Bolts vs. Broad Run Spartans

Lightridge hasn't had much luck against Broad Run recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lightridge Bolts will be home for the holidays to greet the Broad Run Spartans at 7:00 p.m.

Lightridge will head into Saturday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were outmatched by Handley and fell 74-44.

Meanwhile, Broad Run had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of 66-54. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Titans are ranked 155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Broad Run's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Lightridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
