Sunlake faced Winter Haven in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Seahawks had just enough and edged out the Blue Devils 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Seahawks sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Despite the loss, Winter Haven still got an impressive performance from Camila DeJesus, who had 18 digs and three assists. DeJesus has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played. Sophia Whitaker also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Sunlake's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Winter Haven, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Sunlake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against La Cueva on the 30th. As for Winter Haven, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Merritt Island on the 30th.
