Basketball Recap: St. Pius X Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

St. Pius X's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 72-54 win over the Concordia Lutheran Crusaders. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Banner Carlson, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robbie Chappell, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

St. Pius X's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Concordia Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the St. Pius X Panthers duke it out with the Northland Christian Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northland Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.6 points per game this season. As for Concordia Lutheran, they will challenge Legacy Prep Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
