Soccer Recap: Gramercy Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pamlico Christian Academy on Monday, Gramercy Christian came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Christ Covenant Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Gramercy Christian were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Christ Covenant earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Leighton Overall and Paige Gafford scored both of Gramercy Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 35 goals.

Gramercy Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Christ Covenant, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3-1.

Gramercy Christian didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Trinity Christian on the 3rd. As for Christ Covenant, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 5-0 defeat against Community Christian on the 3rd.
