Riverbend piles up the points against North Stafford

Recap: Riverbend Bears vs. North Stafford Wolverines

In what's become a running theme this season, the Riverbend Bears gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past North Stafford 72-41 on the road. Riverbend's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Riverbend was led to victory by Hannah Alexander and Charlotte Mullinax. Alexander scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Mullinax scored 18 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mullinax has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Saniya Durham, who scored seven points along with two steals.

North Stafford's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was J'Maia Joseph, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Daysha Salgado, who scored seven points along with three steals.

Riverbend pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for North Stafford, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Coincidentally, Riverbend and North Stafford will both be playing Stafford the next time they take the court. Riverbend will host Stafford at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while North Stafford will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
