Basketball Recap: All Saints' Academy Takes a Loss

All Saints' Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 47-5 defeat at the hands of the Oasis Christian Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 37-1 back in December of 2024.

Oasis Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Niyhana Tolbert, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten steals. Tolbert is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 22 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Karsyn Roberts, who posted 17 points and five steals.

All Saints' Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Oasis Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.

All Saints' Academy has already played their next matchup, a 39-2 defeat against Frostproof on the 14th. As for Oasis Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-28 victory against Winter Haven Christian on the 14th.
