After a string of nine wins, Northwest Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Buckeye Hawks by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Crusaders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Northwest Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Buckeye, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.

Coming up, Northwest Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Estrella Foothills at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
