Basketball Game Preview: Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds vs. Shawnee Indians

The Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds will venture away from home to face off against the Shawnee Indians at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lima Central Catholic has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 30.

Last Tuesday, Lima Central Catholic was beaten by Wapakoneta 74-21.

Meanwhile, Shawnee had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 49-37 win over Van Wert on Thursday.

Shawnee's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14. As for Lima Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.

Lima Central Catholic was taken down by Shawnee 56-27 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Lima Central Catholic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
