Basketball Recap: Kittson Central/Lancaster Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Kittson Central/Lancaster Bearcats came up short against the Kelliher/Northome Mustangs and fell 96-84. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in January (78), the Bearcats still had to take the loss.

Kelliher/Northome was led to victory by Kate Thayer and Kylee Binkley. Thayer almost dropped a double-double with 43 points and nine assists, while Binkley went 11-for-20 on her way to 33 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards. Thayer's evening made it 29 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Allison Lundin was another key player, putting up nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Kittson Central/Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Kelliher/Northome, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 23-3.

As of now, neither Kittson Central/Lancaster nor Kelliher/Northome have any future games scheduled.
