Football Recap: Glendale Prep Academy's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Glendale Prep Academy proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 40) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-34 win over the Tonopah Valley Phoenix. Winning may never get old, but the Griffins sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Glendale Prep Academy had a senior duo take command as Joshua McHale threw for 191 yards and three TDs and Dylan Lincoln picked up 144 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Lincoln showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 57 yards.

Glendale Prep Academy's record now sits at 5-2. As for Tonopah Valley, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Glendale Prep Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Highland Prep West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tonopah Valley will face off against rival Heritage Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
