Old Colony recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Old Colony this week, Barnstable beat Marshfield 48-29. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Bridgewater-Raynham took down Newton North 41-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Barnstable's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Hayden Murphy chipped in 195 yards.
Murphy provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Chris Whidden's team topped the Rams.
Murphy was the best running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 195 yards as the Red Raiders bested Marshfield. Teammate Justus Chaffee added to the ground attack by rushing for 147 yards.
Barnstable's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Red Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kristian Lucashensky has thrown for 934 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Derek Estes has 13 catches for 225 yards.
Barnstable led the league in scoring this week by notching 48 points on the Rams. Murphy during the win.
