Preview: Dover vs. Hackettstown
On Friday Hackettstown take on Dover at 7:00 PM. Hackettstown will be hoping to build upon the 54-6 win they picked up against Dover the last time they played.
Hackettstown were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their match against Hanover Park last Friday. Hackettstown came up short against Hanover Park, falling 41-54. Hackettstown got a solid performance out of junior Zach Jastrzebski, who rushed for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. In fact, with 12 tackles Jastrzebski was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Dover, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to seven. They were given a punishing 0-40 defeat at the hands of Chatham. The state rankings had actually given Dover a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Hackettstown took the matchup and then some with a 54-6 win the last time the two teams met over Dover. Will Hackettstown repeat their success, or does Dover have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
