Preview: Rogers Rams vs. Lima Senior Spartans
The Rogers Rams will head out on the road to take on the Lima Senior Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rogers will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while Lima Senior is ranked 219th).
Rogers posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Scott out 38-36. The victory was just what Rogers needed coming off of a 62-34 defeat in their prior matchup.
Lima Senior was handed a three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Shawnee on Tuesday. Lima Senior put the hurt on Shawnee with a sharp 76-56 win. Lima Senior has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season.
Rogers is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Lima Senior, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Rogers came up short against Lima Senior when the teams last played back in December of 2019, falling 71-67. Can Rogers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
