Softball Game Preview: Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles vs. Edgewater Eagles

Central Florida Christian Academy will venture away from home to challenge Edgewater at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Central Florida Christian Academy and 30 for Edgewater dating back to last season.

Central Florida Christian Academy lost 26-6 to Gateway on Tuesday.

Susannah Brenyo was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Ingram, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Edgewater took on East River on Wednesday. The Eagles came up short against the Falcons, falling 18-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Edgewater's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Central Florida Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 18-0 loss they got from Edgewater when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can Central Florida Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
