Basketball Recap: Cuba/Spoon River Valley Comes Up Short

Cuba/Spoon River Valley suffered their biggest defeat since February 6th on Friday. They were beaten by the Peoria Christian Chargers 63-33. The Wildcats have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Cuba/Spoon River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Peoria Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Cuba/Spoon River Valley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Biggsville West Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Peoria Christian, they and Seneca will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
