Recap: Cordova Lancers vs. Johnson Warriors
After losing to The Johnson Warriors the last time they met, the Cordova Lancers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Cordova came out on top against Johnson by a score of 29-22 on Friday.
Jayden Ryce continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 119 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 103 yards and a touchdown.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kamarea Smith, who threw for 294 yards while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Kirk Brown III, who gained 115 total yards and a touchdown.
Cordova is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Johnson, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Cordova does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Johnson also has no future games currently scheduled.
