Soccer Recap: Franklinton Takes a Loss

Franklinton lost against Southern Nash on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Red Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Firebirds. Considering the last time Franklinton couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklinton and nudges their season record down to 6-9-1. As for Southern Nash, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklinton will head out to face off against Rolesville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklinton's defense better be ready for this one: Rolesville have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season. As for Southern Nash, they are taking a road trip to square off against Roanoke Rapids at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
