Baseball Recap: Crossings Christian Comes Up Short

Crossings Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 back in March.

Crossings Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Bishop McGuinness, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Crossings Christian has already played their next contest, a 7-3 win against Blackwell on the 31st. Bishop McGuinness has also already played their next game (against Weatherford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
