Softball Recap: Fennimore Comes Up Short

Fennimore couldn't beat Iowa-Grant on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Eagles have lost by just one run.

Fennimore's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Iowa-Grant, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fennimore will host Riverdale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chieftains have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Iowa-Grant, they will challenge Boscobel at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
