Volleyball Game Preview: Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies vs. Englewood Stem Panthers

The Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies will challenge the Englewood Stem Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Horizon Science Academy-Southwest has seven straight victories, Englewood Stem has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Horizon Science Academy-Southwest beat Bogan 2-0.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Englewood Stem faced off against Phillips on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 25-17 in the first set.

Englewood Stem actually scored more points across those three sets (73-69), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 27-25.

Englewood Stem's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Horizon Science Academy-Southwest, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.

Horizon Science Academy-Southwest beat Englewood Stem 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
