Alexander came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 61-52 win over the East Central Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-50 back in November.

Alexander's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for East Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alexander and Laredo LBJ will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Central, they will square off against San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
