 In what's become a running theme this season, Miami Springs gave their fans yet another huge  win on Thursday. They never let the Somerset Academy Panthers onto the board and left with  a   10-0  victory. The  win was just what Miami Springs needed coming off of  a  14-8 loss in their prior  match.
  Anthony Espinoza tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits over five innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Ivan Membreno was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with five  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jordanny Gonzalez, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 On Somerset Academy's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jorge Gonzalez, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and a  double.
 Miami Springs' victory was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.0 runs per game. As for Somerset Academy, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miami Springs will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coral Springs at 7:00  p.m.  on April 2nd. As for Somerset Academy, they are on the road again  on Friday to play Archbishop Carroll at 4:00  p.m. Somerset Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.3  runs per game this season.
