Basketball Recap: Harvest Prep Comes Up Short at Home Against Miami Trace

Harvest Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 66-60 to the Miami Trace Panthers on Friday. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 20-14 in the first quarter.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JaJuan Wharton, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 24 points. Deyaire Adams was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 16 points.

Miami Trace has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Harvest Prep is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Fredericktown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Miami Trace, they will challenge Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
