Volleyball Recap: Floyd Central Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Floyd Central can now relate to. They fell just short of the Madison Cubs by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Highlanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cubs earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Floyd Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Madison, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-11.

Floyd Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison, they will challenge Jeffersonville at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Cubs surely won't give up without a fight.
