Basketball Recap: Bernstein Starts Season with Win Against Gertz-Ressler

Bernstein took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. Everything went their way against the Gertz-Ressler Pumas as they made off with a 46-26 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dragons also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Bernstein can attribute much of their success to Rebecca Antunez, who posted 21 points. Those 21 points gave Antunez a new career-high.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bernstein will head out to take on Canoga Park at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gertz-Ressler, they will venture away from home to challenge Neuwirth Leadership Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Pumas' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
