Softball Recap: Wells Drops Season-High Score on Neches

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Alto, Wells was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Neches Tigers, sneaking past 19-17. The Pirates' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Wells' win bumped their record up to 2-8-1. As for Neches, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.

Coming up, Wells will challenge Apple Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are on a four-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and the Eagles a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck. Neches does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
