Basketball Recap: Castle View Sabercats vs. ThunderRidge Grizzlies
The Castle View Sabercats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They took a 39-25 bruising from ThunderRidge. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Castle View has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Castle View still got an impressive performance from Olivia Loveland, who scored 15 points.
Becca Winton went supernova for ThunderRidge, scoring 17 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Winton has scored all season. Gabbie Forsythe was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Castle View has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for ThunderRidge, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castle View will take on the Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Legend has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 406 points over their last six matchups. As for ThunderRidge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
