Volleyball Recap: Galileo Comes Up Short

Galileo suffered their biggest defeat since March 26th on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Lincoln Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Galileo was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-12, 25-19.

Galileo has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 25-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Galileo will square off against rival Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lincoln is set to take on their familiar foe Lowell at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
