Volleyball Recap: Safford Takes a Loss

Safford and Valley Christian squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Safford had to settle for second. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-5, 25-8.

Valley Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaydence Hirsch led the charge by getting seven digs and two aces. Hirsch is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Safford now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Valley Christian, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 31-10.

Safford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Florence on the 8th.
