Baseball Recap: Sedan Devils vs. Oxford Wildcats
Sedan had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 8-4 to make it five. They lost 9-3 to the Oxford Wildcats. The Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Sedan saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brycen Dickens, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Eli Burris also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
As for Oxford, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
On Oxford's side, Connor Commerford made a big impact while hitting and pitching.
