Volleyball Recap: Glenelg Wins Going Away Against Marriotts Ridge

Glenelg won the last time they faced Marriotts Ridge and things went their way on Monday too. The Gladiators were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mustangs. The matchup marked the Gladiators' most dominant win of the season so far.

One reason for the win was Glenelg's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 25-11.

Glenelg can attribute much of their success to Abigail Nirola, who had eight aces and three digs. Those eight aces gave Nirola a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Glenelg and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Marriotts Ridge, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Glenelg will take on Mt. Hebron at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marriotts Ridge, they will head out to take on Guilford Park at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
