Basketball Recap: Washburn Takes a Loss

Washburn has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were outmatched by the New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets and fell 72-44. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Washburn's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-3. As for New Rockford-Sheyenne, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

While Washburn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
