While Cuba/Spoon River Valley's win against Delavan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Panthers 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Emma Probyn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Morgan Patterson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Cuba/Spoon River Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Delavan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.

Coming up, Cuba/Spoon River Valley will square off against Astoria/VIT at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.61 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
