Volleyball Recap: Milan's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Milan waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Knightstown Panthers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Milan didn't let Knightstown take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22.

Emma Voss paced Milan's offense, picking up five kills. Voss really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 12. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Knightstown's loss came despite strong showings from Ary Guzman and Gianna Nutter. Guzman had ten digs and two assists, while Nutter had nine digs.

Milan's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Knightstown, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.

Milan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against North Decatur on the 22nd. As for Knightstown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Southwestern on the 22nd.
