Nicolet and Union Grove squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Nicolet had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 14-12. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Quintyn Martinez was his usual excellent self, rushing for 275 yards and one score for Union Grove. Those 275 rushing yards gave Martinez a new career-high.

Nicolet's defeat dropped their record down to 5-6. As for Union Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Nicolet does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union Grove, they will face off against West De Pere at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will need to watch out since the Phantoms have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
