Volleyball Recap: Illiana Christian Takes a Loss

Illiana Christian saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Jeffersonville Red Devils by a score of 2-1.

Shawn Kramer paced Illiana Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Kramer got some help from Daniel Dykstra and his eight assists. Sam Kramer controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Leading Jeffersonville to victory were Malachi Crowder and Francisco Martinez. Crowder had 15 digs and three assists, while Martinez had four digs and two aces.

Illiana Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Jeffersonville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Illiana Christian has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Noblesville on the 26th. As for Jeffersonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Guerin Catholic on the 26th.
